plot synopsis:
Berlin 1942: Staff seargent Bernd Birckhoff gets special leave for one day and travels by train from France to Berlin in order to meet his holiday-acquaintance Gisela, a photographer. He gets to know nurse Gisela and meets her in plainclothes at the Wannsee again. They walk through the city together, but then lose sight of each other. Before Birckhoff´s departure they meet again at the railway station.
