This documentary consists of three parts and deals with the German home front. In 1943 war comes back to Germany. In big cities, shelters become the homes of many people and children are send to the country side. But especially the young generation still stands behind the leader Adolf Hitler. In 1945 deliverance comes closer and war ends in Germany. The revenge of the winners makes the population especially in eastern Germany starve of hunger. Many people can't yet believe in the start in a new time.
