plot synopsis:
The film deals with the "liberation" of Polish concentration camp prisoners in 1945. But their freedom is not real, because they are just brought to another camp. Brutality, hunger and fear make the prisoners inhuman. The focus of the story is on an author, who decides to be free at the end of the film, even though it is not save. The film tries to cope with the past and shows human weaknesses.
