During the 47 year-long civil war in Sudan millions of people were killed. Again and again there were fights between the Islamistic government and guerillas from the South, which is more Christian and Animist. The Dinka tribe was almost entirely eradicated. About 20.000 boys could escape the massacres and are known since as the "lost children of Sudan". Some of them were sent to UN- refugee camps, others got a permission to go to the United States.
Peter and Santino, now two young men, were among the ones immigrating to the USA. This documentary describes their way from a refugee camp in Kenya to Houston, Texas, and their familiarisation into the new life. Peter and Santino also had to face the bad sides of the country of their dreams, like discrimination and ignorance. By and by they even lose their hope for integration.
