plot synopsis:
A flashback framework, in which choreographer Jeroen Krabbe recalls the last days of the Second World War in the Netherlands. The then 13-year-old from Amsterdam witnessed the last days of the war in the Frisian province where he fell in love with a Canadian soldier. A traumatic experience that still concerns him after 40 years as he trys to incorporate his experiences in his latest ballet work, a celebration of the Liberation.
