The Taliban leader Ahmad Shah in Afghanistan is responsible for the death of over 20 US-soldiers. A special team of four navy SEALs is sent into enemy territory to capture him but the Taliban forces ambush them. Each of them is wounded and they have to retreat. Soon, two of them are dead, the third one is shot dead too, and the lone survivor, the sniper Luttrell, is left to escape to a nearby village at the next morning. The villagers take care of them and send message to the next american base. When the Taliban forces arrive to kill Luttrell he is being protected by the villagers. At the end, Luttrell is saved and remains the lone survivor of this operation red wings.
