plot synopsis:
This film adaptation brought Mozart's pera "The magic flute" to the cinema.
The story starts at the beginning of the First World War, in which commander Tamino is hurt on the battlefield and saved by three nurses who bring him to some kind of parallel universe. There the Queen of the Night asks Tamino to rescue her daughter Pamina, who has been kidnapped by Sarastro. After Tamino has seen a photograph of the princess he and his friend Papageno make their way to find her.
