plot synopsis:
In a Boer POW camp a group of Dutch prisoners wearily pass the time under the watchful eye of their British captors. One of the inmates lifts his voice in song with the popular Dutch patriotic tune Sarie Marais. His enthusiasm catches on like wildfire with the other prisoners, giving them hope that perhaps life is not so bad after all.
