plot synopsis:
1939, shortly after the German attack on Poland, the deportations of the Jews begin. On her way to a concentration camp the 12-year-old Ruth is pushed from a truck by her mother. Alone she struggles to get back to Warsaw, where she is supposed to seek refuge at her aunt`s home in the ghetto.
