plot synopsis:
In a divided country on the verge of war the two friends Amir and Hassan are torn apart. It is the glorious afternoon of the kite-fighting tournament in Kabul, but after this day nothing will be as before. The fearful betrayal of one of the boys will mark their lives forever.
After 20 years living in the United States Amir returns to Afghanistan in the grip of the Taliban, to face the secrets still haunting him and take his last chance to set things right.
