plot synopsis:
This film takes place in 1947 in New York and tells the story of the Polish immigrant Sophie, who survived the concentration camp Auschwitz. Stingo, a young man who comes from the southern states, falls in love with her. He is shocked when she tells the story about how she lost her father, husband and children in Auschwitz and what kind of brutal decision she had to take.
