Based on Joachim C. Fest`s sucessful Hitler-biography, uses a lot of previously unknown footage. Its most fundamental disadvantage that the origin and development of nationalsocialism is reflected entirely from Hitler`s perspective and his career - a dangerous simplyfication, that finds its aesthetic equivalent in the unrefelcted presentation of grandiose marches and cheering masshxsteria. This way, Hitler becomes - unintentionally - the questionable "star" of a one-man-show.
