plot synopsis:
Cambodia,1972. Max Camden is responsible for a prison camp where human rights do not exist, the prisoners are tortured and medical experiments are ruthlessly carried out. When he is ordered to destroy the camp to avoid incriminating anyone in the US Government, he misses one soldier, who escapes but dies in the subsequent bombing of the area.
Over 25 years later, intelligence officer Jack Poynt is leading a mission to clear the same area of landmines when he discovers the remains of the camp and discovers the journal of the escapee. Eventually he finds evidence of a CIA-backed raid on that medical facility, which led to the torture and slaughter of a number of innocent civilians. Poynt decides it's high time that the men responsible were exposed and brought to justice, but the deeper he digs in search of the truth, the more he finds himself in danger because Camden is now one of the top men involved in the crisis with China.
