This documentary describes the life of Kurt Gerstein, a convinced Christian and SS-member. In French captivity he wrote the "Gerstein-report" in 1945, in which he witnesses the existence of extermination camps and describes the terrible conditions in the concentration camp of Belzec. But nobody believed him, as he could be identified as a customer of "Zyklon B". He could not infiltrate the NS-regime and his commitment for the resistance was not recognized. He was foung hanged in his prison cell. If it was murder or suicide is not yet clear.
