plot synopsis:
March 1945: the drowning "Third Reich" mobilizes the last resources drafting youths and old men to the "Volkssturm". Helene Asmussen and five mothers travel from Berlin to the front at Stettin to plead the general to save their 15-years-old sons from a hero's death.
