As the Nazis occupy Czechoslovakia, the scientist Axel Bomasch flees to England. His daughter is captured and put into a concentration camp where she is contacted by Karl Marsen who pretends to be a dissident too but actually is a german spy infiltrating the camp to get hold on Bomasch. They escape to England where Anna is able to find her father with the secret agent Dickie Randall. She then tells love on whom she has a crush, who then captures Anna and her father and brings them back to germany. Randall then develops a bold plan to rescue them: he travels to germany, pretending to be a Nazi commander and orders Anna and her father to be transported to Munich. Marsen gets suspicous and accompanies them, midway finding out about Randalls real identity. He plans on capturing them but Randall is warned by two fellow countrymen and is thus able to get away with Anna and her father to Switzerland.
