plot synopsis:
The film takes place during the invasion of the Normandy. In 1944 Captain Hale and a group of infantrymen walk through the Normandy. The foot soldiers are tortured by the war. They first don't accept their lieutenant Joe Mallory, but then they will see, that he is very important to the platoon.
