plot synopsis:
After numerous battles and losses in the Balkan War, all is not well with the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century. The country of Rumelia was also affected by this. The Rumelia inhabitants were forced by the difficult situation to leave their homeland and go to Anatolia and Istanbul. But when the First World War begins, the Ottoman Empire sees its chance to rearm. For the war, Anatolian youths are called up for military service. Among them are Mehmet Ali and Veli, who come from a small rural village. Both are unaware that they will soon be part of the 19th Division, led by Mustafa Kemal, and will have to fight in a battle unlike any they have seen before. The British and French enemies, who will try to master the Dardanelles on March 18, 1915, do not yet suspect how powerful their Turkish opponent really is.
