Guido Knopps documentary on the NS-genocide.
He describes the way from the race-laws of Nuernberg to the Wannesee-Conference with the decision of the “final solution”, from the deportation to the liberation of the concentration camps by the allies. He reports on those courageous and desperate people, who fought in the resistance, and about those few who did not turn away but helped. Survivors tell how they manged to escape from the NS-persecution and how their memories still haunt them today. But also the perpetrators get a chance to speak and are confronted with their long repressed knowledge. An upsetting representation about the cruelest chapter of German history and a document against forgetting.
