Siebenbürgen in the early 1940s: The four juveniles Felix, Hans Adolf, Gisela and Alfa Sigrid have an easy-going youth and long for their schooldays-end, when their lives abruptly changes. The kingdom Romania seperates from the so far allied Nazi Germany and the Transylvania Saxons’ German ethnic group – also Felix and Hans Adolf, who joined the Hitler Youth – looses all privileges. On top of that the young mixed clique has to handle a lot of problems dealing with growing-up: There is the Saxon Hans Adolf with his identity problems, the aristocratic Romanian Alfa Sigrid, who is torn between Hans and the blond-haired blue-eyed Felix and the Jew Gisela, who has a crush on Felix all times. At the beginning of the 1940s all of them want only one thing: A big party to celebrate their growing-up. A dramatic movie about friendship, hope, love and betrayal.
