Lt. Droste wants to build up an aircraft-stage in the middle of the ocean, to offer the pilots of intercontinental flights an airstrip to refuel and fix their planes. After two years a whole city is build up. During a thunderstorm the connection to the stage breaks off. The last thing which could be heard were bullets and screams. The thunderstorm continues and so the best pilot is needed to fly to F.P.1.
Claire convinces Ellissen to fly with her to the stage. They arrive the isle and survive a crash-landing.
