plot synopsis:
12 March 1938 Hitler's Wehrmacht and poilcemen invaded Austria. A crowd of people cheered for their fellow countryman Adolf Hitler when he annouced that Austria would now belong to the German Reich. The annexation did not take very long. The dictator managed to destroy the existing state without noteworthy resistance. He found many followers and complices for his war of destruction. About 1,25 million Austrians were members of the Wehrmacht or the SS.
With till now unknown filming material and several interviews this documentary tries to describe Austria's attitude in World War II.
