The film deals with the destiny of a Vietnam war vet, who tries to find back to his old life. To learn to cope with his war trauma he moves to a remote place in the USA. Without success he tries to start a new relation to his son, who is already grown up. Only after the bloody attack of another vet and the tried suicide of the father a new beginning becomes possible. The film deals with all the Vietnam war vets, who are left alone with their traumas.
