Hedy Lamarr: one of Hollywood's greatest divas, but as well the inventor of a tele-control for torpedos for submarines. They are also part of today's wireless telecommunication.
Hedy Lamarr was born as Hedwig Maria Kiesler in Vienna in 1914. She got famous through her appearance in the Czech movie "Ecstasy". In 1937 she escaped to the United States where she was spotted by Louis B. Mayer. She played in about 25 movies and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer put on her image as a screen godess and sexbomb.
