American parachuters arrive in occupied France and are immediately forced into combat. They are separated, yet three of them are able to reunite and start looking for their troops. On the way there they stumble upon members of the resistance who come along with them. They have to engage in several fights with german soldiers, taking one of them as a prisoner. That one, Erich, will läter save one parachuters life while dying to his own wounds, trying to make friendship.
