plot synopsis:
The film takes place in wartime England in 1941. Poorly-armed ships are sent into the 'U-Boat-Alley' to rescue damaged Allied ships. The American David Ross becomes captain of one of these ships. He gets a key from another boat-man. The key belongs to the apartment of a pretty lady. If the boat-man dies, Ross is allowed to use the key.
