plot synopsis:
The TV-mini-series ist about the importance of a strategic vertex in the World War II. In September 1943, the Red Army reached the River Dnieper and want to cross this. The focus is on the two bataillons under the command of Colonel Gulyaev. While a beachhead is established, it finally comes to a battle with German troops who want to hold the important bottleneck.
