The sentences of the main war criminal process ended in front of the International Court of Justice in Nuremberg on 30th of September and 1st of October in 1946.
Among the accused there were "Hitler's Architect", Albert Speer and the editor of the anti-Semitic journal "Der Stürmer", Julius Streicher. Speer was treated as a "good Nazi" and condemned to an imprisonment of 20 years. If he really felt the moral guilt, or just pretended to feel the remorse is controvesial. His memory books written in prison became bestsellers all over the world. The historian Joachim Fest has examined character and role of Albert Speer intensively.
Julius Streicher was a very influential persin in the Nazi-regime, tough Goebbels and Göring despised him. As the editor of "Der Stürmer" he was responsible for the worst agitation against the Jews.
