On July 20th, 1944 colonel Stauffenberg attempted to assassinate Hitler but failed. "The Officers' Hour" is collage of archive footage, eye-witness reports and re-enacted scenes bringing ti life to motives and destinies of the conspirers. The re-encted scenes are based on minutes and interrogation protocols as well as on reports by relatives, showing what happened at the historic places: at the Führer HQ "Wolffsschanze" in Rastenburg, in Berlin's Bendlerblock and other important places. In doing so the film condenses the attempted murder of a tyrant to an exicting historic drama.
