plot synopsis:
This Documentary focuses on the building of the airfield on the Aleuten isalnd of Adak. It depicts bombers starting on their raids against Japanese-held territory, their landing on the field drenched with water and the raid on the town of Kiska. Huston concentrates on the personal element, stressing the courage under stress of the regular Joes assigned to this bleak part of the world.
