The film takes place during World War I and tells the story of the rivalry between Sergeant John Morley and Sergeant Rodd Berry because of a woman: mademoiselle Yvonne. She prefers Morley, but gets married to Berry, because the first one is missing in war. Everybody thinks that he is dead. But years later Morley and Yvonne meet again. His new name is Dick, because he suffers from amnesia. Yvonne leaves her husband and runs off with Morley.
