Director Ahmad wants to leave Palestine, but is persuaded by a friend to do one last job. He is to search actors for the new National Palestinian Theatre in Gaza. Therefore, he and cinematographer Loumir and journalist Bissan travel around the various refugee camps in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Their journey is difficult because of financial problems, the check points and the constant tension in the whole region. Furthermore the theatre in Gaza is bombed by the Israelian army. Ahmad realises that it is the refugees' and his own destiny to wait.
