plot synopsis:
The last months of WW II : Zhenia, a young romantic man, is a soldier of Guard Mortar Division (the famous Russian "Katusha" mortars). Zhenia is a dreamer who dreams himself away from the war – and therefore has no idea how he achieved the military objectives he is honored for.
The last winter of the greatest war is over, a new spring with new dreams comes on, and it seems that all troubles are left behind and only best days of love and happiness wait for Zhenia and Little Zhenia, a girl-telegraphist, but even the last days of the war can be tragic.
