plot synopsis:
Ray Hicks, a jaded Merchant Marine vet at the end of his Vietnam hitch agrees to smuggle two kilos of heroin into the States for his old buddy, the cynical photojournalist John Converse.
But things start going terribly wrong and events drag him and Converse's bewildered wife into a nightmarish world peopled by corrupt federal agents and desperate skag addicts. Soon Hicks feels like being back in Vietnam.
