plot synopsis:
The film takes place during the American Civil War and tells the story of Charlie Anderson, a farmer in Shenandoah, Virginia. He and his family decide, not to become involved in the war, because it is not "their" war. But when his youngest boy is taken prisoner by the enemy, he has to join the war to save his child.
