Afghanistan has become more dangerous for germans in the last moths. Since also german aides and soldiers were targets of attacks and ravishments the discussion of the mission of the “Bundeswehr” became more controversial.
Since the beginning of October the “Bundestag” debates on the prolongation of the mandate for the ISAF operations “Enduring Freedom” and the mission of german “Tornado” spotter planes. Approximately 3000 soldiers are in mission in Afghanistan at this time.
How meaningful are the different missions? Has Germany to be defended in the Hindukusch?
