plot synopsis:
This film is based on a true story, that happened in 1981 and deals with the hunger strike in a British prison. In real life the IRA prisoner Bobby Sands started the protest against the treatment of IRA prisoners as criminals rather than as prisoners of war. But the film focuses on the mothers of two of the strikers and their personal struggle to save the lives of their sons.
