Halit Berati works on an oil-field owned by an Italian company that rigorously exploits the workers. Despite his hard work Halit never gave up playing the clarinett. Together with other singers and instrumentalists he is invited to a studio for a recording session. The offer is a scheme by the Italian fascists. Apart from their propaganda they want to promote Italian art among the Albanians, but they also plan to gather strategic information. However, Halit and his friends come to understand this plan, leave the studio and return to their collegues so that they can listen to their own songs again.
