plot synopsis:
The film takes place in a Japanese village close to Hiroshima in 1950. Five years after the atomic bomb was thrown on the city, the shock still is huge and still many people die. The film deals with the life of Yasuko, a young woman, who can't find a husband because she is suffering from radiation.
