After three years in the US, Viola comes back home to Macedonia to find her country at the edge of ethnic war, swarmed with NATO troops, tanks and guns around every corner, grey and dirty. She finds her family in a similar turmoil, torn apart by miscommunication. Viola's younger brother Kokan is dangerously pursuing revolutionary, patriotic dreams that escalate from petty hooliganism to real terrorist ambitions.
